Premium event posters for Lagos's Peru-Latin & Chifa fusion restaurant
Overview
Nómaada is a Peruvian-Latin and Nikkei-Chifa fusion restaurant in Victoria Island, Lagos—known for ceviche, tiradito, wok-fired dishes, and a lush garden dining space. The brief: design a rotating series of premium event and promo posters (match screenings, holiday menus, weekly specials, seasonal greetings) that stay consistent with the restaurant’s existing brand, without a full identity overhaul.
Scope: Poster design for recurring promotions and one-off events across social and print formats.
The Challenge
- Every poster needed to feel premium, not like a generic flyer.
- Content varies widely—football screenings, festive dinners, weekly specials—but had to read as one brand.
- Nómaada’s identity (compass emblem, green, gold, cream) had to stay consistent across every design.
The Approach
- Anchored every poster to the same brand system: deep green or cream base, gold compass emblem, and consistent logo lockup.
- Used food photography as the hero visual whenever possible to keep the focus on the dining experience.
- Paired display script for warmth (event names) with bold sans-serif for key info (dates, times, and address) always scannable at a glance.
- Adapted tone per occasion: festive gold and ornament textures for Christmas/New Year, club crests and jersey imagery for match screenings, and moody dark tones for the weekly Tacos Tuesday series.
- Kept a fixed info hierarchy—event name, date/time, location, and reservation line so regulars know exactly where to look.
The Solution
- Recurring promos — Tacos Tuesday weekly poster template, reusable each week with minimal edits.
- Match screening series — Club branded posters (Arsenal vs Bayern, Chelsea vs Barcelona) pairing team crests/jerseys with the Champions League and Nómaada marks.
- Festive series — Christmas Eve Dinner, Christmas Day Lunch, and New Year posters using gold foil-style accents and dish photography.
- Cultural/seasonal moments — 11.11 “Manifest” post tying a trending cultural moment to the brand’s indulgence angle.
The Outcome
A flexible poster system that lets Nómaada show up premium for anything on the calendar — a football night, a festive dinner, or a weekly special — without ever looking off-brand.
